Murree Launches AI-Powered Tourist Safety App

Murree Police have launched a world-class “Safe Tourism App” to improve the safety and convenience of visitors.

Murree District Police Officer (DPO) Dr. Raza Tanveer described the initiative as a landmark step toward modern, technology-driven public safety. He said the app connects tourists directly with his office and all relevant administrative departments through a single platform.

According to the DPO, visitors can instantly access police services, Rescue 1122, and traffic police support through the app. The goal is to make emergency and assistance services available with just one click.

The app also includes a dedicated “Virtual Women Police Station” to provide enhanced protection and support for female visitors.

In addition, an artificial intelligence-powered live chatbot will offer 24/7 guidance and assistance to tourists.

Dr. Tanveer further stated that under the feature titled “Text to DPO,” visitors can send complaints directly to the Murree DPO via WhatsApp.

The Safe Tourism App marks a significant shift from conventional policing toward a more accessible and technology-based public safety system in Murree.
