Ali Shahid has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of The Bench, effective January 2026, based in Bristol, United Kingdom. In his new role, he will lead the company’s overall strategic direction, growth agenda, and operational leadership as The Bench continues to strengthen its position as a specialist marketing and brand consultancy.
Ali steps into the CEO role after more than eight years with The Bench, most recently serving as Marketing Director, where he led the company’s marketing strategy, brand management, content development, and digital infrastructure. Working closely with the board and senior leadership, he played a key role in building scalable marketing systems, launching high-impact digital campaigns, and supporting the firm’s expansion across priority markets.
Alongside his role at The Bench, Ali has served as a Trusted Executive Fellowship Board Member (TEFB), contributing to strategic leadership development and executive mentoring initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Ali co-founded Event Engine, where he served as Co-Founder & Managing Partner, successfully delivering high-ROI marketing solutions for regional and international clients, including Fortune 500 companies. During this period, he generated significant revenue growth, established regional partnerships with global technology providers, and led large-scale, content-driven B2B campaigns across the Middle East.
Ali also brings extensive experience from his time at Dubai World Trade Centre, where he held senior marketing leadership roles, including Acting Head of Marketing and Senior Marketing Manager, overseeing multi-million-dollar international campaigns for flagship global exhibitions such as GITEX and the Dubai International Motor Show. His earlier career includes global marketing and event leadership roles with Naseba and other international platforms.
With a strong background in business strategy, brand leadership, digital marketing, and executive development, Ali Shahid’s appointment marks a significant milestone for The Bench as it enters its next phase of growth.
