Andrew Francks Appointed Vice President of HR – US & Canada Hotel Operations at IHG
Andrew Francks has been appointed Vice President of HR – US & Canada Hotel Operations at IHG Hotels & Resorts, effective February 2026, marking a significant leadership transition within the group’s hotel operations across North America.
In his new role, Francks will lead the people strategy for IHG’s hotel operations across the United States and Canada, supporting colleagues, owners and operators across managed, franchised and owned properties. Based in Atlanta, he will focus on strengthening organisational capability, talent pipelines, culture and operational performance in one of IHG’s most strategically important regions.
Francks brings over six years of progressive leadership experience within IHG Hotels & Resorts, most recently serving as Vice President, Global Talent, Culture, Organisation & HR Owner Offer – Hotels. Earlier roles at IHG included CHRO Chief of Staff & Global Talent and Leadership Strategy Director, Global Director Talent & Performance and Global Director Early Careers, where he led global succession planning, executive talent development, early careers strategy and large-scale learning initiatives across more than 100 countries.
Before joining IHG, Francks built extensive experience in human resources, learning and development, and operations through senior roles with Yum! Brands, KFC UK & Ireland, and Marks & Spencer, spanning global HR leadership, digital learning transformation, franchise operations and workforce development. He has also served as a Board Member of the Global Travel and Tourism Partnership (GTTP), supporting youth skills development and pathways into the hospitality and tourism workforce.
With deep expertise across talent strategy, leadership development, HR transformation and large-scale operations, Andrew Francks’ appointment reinforces IHG’s commitment to people-led growth across its hotel portfolio in the US and Canada.
