Daniel del Olmo Named President & Chief Executive Officer at Sage Hospitality Group
Daniel del Olmo has stepped into the role of President and Chief Executive Officer at Sage Hospitality Group, where he leads a workforce of approximately 7,000 associates across an award-winning portfolio of more than 120 independent, luxury, and lifestyle hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues throughout the United States.
Alongside his executive leadership responsibilities, del Olmo currently serves on several industry and corporate boards, including The Gettys Group, the MINA Board of Marriott International, and advisory roles with Instawork and Independent Lodging Congress. He also previously served as a trustee of the American Hotel & Lodging Foundation and advisor to Curator Hotel & Resort Collection.
Prior to joining Sage, del Olmo was Head of Hotels at Habitas, where he oversaw global hotel operations and pre-opening initiatives across properties in Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and Africa. He also co-founded The Passionality Group, a strategic growth platform supporting lifestyle food-and-beverage, experiential travel, and executive search ventures.
Earlier, he served as CEO of sbe’s Disruptive Group portfolio, managing a global collection of restaurant, nightlife, and entertainment brands generating more than $500 million in annual sales. His tenure included launching integrated brand strategies, expanding licensed restaurant pipelines, and strengthening strategic partnerships to accelerate growth.
Del Olmo previously held the role of President, International at Dine Brands Global (formerly DineEquity), where he led the international expansion strategy for Applebee’s and IHOP across more than 20 countries, driving record restaurant openings, market growth initiatives, and owner performance programs.
He spent over a decade with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts (then Wyndham Hotel Group), holding several senior leadership roles including Senior Vice President & Managing Director for Latin America and Brand SVP for TRYP by Wyndham. During this period, he led regional expansion strategies, brand repositioning efforts, and global integration initiatives while consistently delivering revenue growth and operational improvements.
Earlier in his career, del Olmo held leadership roles in strategy, marketing, and communications with major travel and hospitality organizations including Amadeus and Meliá Hotels International, where he developed international marketing strategies, digital initiatives, and revenue-focused brand programs across the Americas.
With nearly three decades of global hospitality leadership experience spanning hotel operations, brand strategy, development, and international expansion, Daniel del Olmo brings deep industry expertise and strategic vision to his role at Sage Hospitality Group.
