Denise Haeggberg has been promoted to Chief Human Resources Officer at Marriott Vacations Worldwide, effective February 2026.

Haeggberg brings over two decades of global human resources leadership experience spanning hospitality, vacation ownership, and financial services. In her new role, she will lead the company’s global HR strategy, overseeing talent management, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and HR shared services across the enterprise.

Before this promotion, she served as Senior Vice President, Global Talent Management at Marriott Vacations Worldwide, where she was responsible for advancing enterprise-wide talent strategies and strengthening leadership pipelines.

Previously, she held senior HR leadership roles at ILG and Vistana Signature Experiences, leading global talent management frameworks, engagement initiatives, and centralized HR service operations across multiple international markets.

Haeggberg also spent over 12 years with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, where she led Global HR Programs across nine brands, supporting more than 1,200 properties in over 100 countries and approximately 150,000 associates. Her earlier career includes leadership roles at Washington Mutual Finance Co and HR Directions, focusing on organizational capability, executive coaching, and leadership development.

Her appointment underscores the increasing strategic role of human capital leadership in driving performance and long-term growth within the hospitality and vacation ownership sector.
