The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has appointed Gloria Guevara Manzo as its new President & CEO, marking the beginning of a dynamic new era for the organisation. Based in Madrid, she is a global travel and tourism leader with extensive experience across public and private sectors.
Prior to this appointment, Guevara served as Chief Special Advisor at the Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia, where she played a key role in supporting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 tourism transformation. She has previously led WTTC as President & CEO (2017–2021), during which she guided the sector through the COVID-19 crisis, advanced sustainable growth, and launched key initiatives on climate action, women’s empowerment, and safety.
Guevara also served as Secretary of Tourism for Mexico and CEO of the Mexico Tourism Board, leading major recovery and growth efforts during challenging times. She has held senior leadership roles at Sabre Travel Network and NCR Corporation, strengthening her expertise in technology, operations, and global business management.
