Luc Delafosse Appointed Managing Director of The Peninsula Paris
Luc Delafosse has been appointed Managing Director of The Peninsula Paris, bringing more than four decades of international luxury hospitality leadership to the iconic Parisian palace.
Delafosse joins the property following nearly seven years with Al Khozama in Riyadh, where he most recently served as Vice President Hospitality & F&B. In this role, he oversaw hospitality strategy, operational performance, and food and beverage direction across the group’s high-end portfolio in Saudi Arabia.
Prior to Al Khozama, he was Regional Vice President – Europe at Jumeirah Group, based in London. Earlier, he served as Managing Director with Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts in the Greater Los Angeles area, where he led strategic repositioning initiatives, operational transformation, and key project developments.
From 2010 to 2015, Delafosse was General Manager of Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel. During his tenure, he successfully led the landmark palace through its closure, ownership transition, extensive renovation planning, and pre-opening preparation ahead of its relaunch.
Earlier, he held the role of General Manager at Burj Al Arab under Jumeirah, overseeing operations at one of the world’s most recognized ultra-luxury hotels. He also served as Managing Director of The Ritz London, where he guided repositioning and refurbishment strategies for the historic property.
His earlier career includes senior leadership positions at Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo, Vista Palace Hotel, Grand Hôtel Le Touquet, and Hotel Mirabeau. He began his career with operational training at The Savoy, gaining experience across food & beverage, front office, and back-of-house operations.
With extensive expertise spanning luxury hotel openings, renovation projects, asset repositioning, and operational change management, Delafosse now takes the helm at The Peninsula Paris at a pivotal time for the celebrated property.
