Kerzner International has announced the appointment of Martin Cody as Cluster General Manager, Rwanda, bringing more than two decades of international luxury hospitality leadership to the role.
Martin joins Kerzner following an extensive career with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, where he most recently served as Regional Vice President & General Manager, Hotel & Residential Operations – Four Seasons Hotel Johannesburg. In this role, he oversaw hotel and residential operations while leading one of the brand’s flagship luxury properties in South Africa.
Prior to that, he was Senior General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff, Johannesburg, after a period at the Four Seasons Corporate Office EMEA in Dubai, where he worked on strategic projects for an ownership group.
Earlier in his career, Martin served as General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Pudong, Shanghai, overseeing both the luxury hotel and its private residences. Before Shanghai, he spent more than four years at Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti, first as Lodge Manager and later as General Manager, where he led all aspects of resort operations in one of Africa’s most renowned safari destinations.
His operational leadership also includes senior roles at Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru, progressing from Director of Rooms to Resort Manager, with responsibility for rooms, food and beverage, spa, recreation, engineering, marine experiences, and guest services. Earlier assignments included leadership positions at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi, Four Seasons Resort Lana’i – The Lodge at Koele, and Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa, where he built extensive expertise in luxury resort operations.
Martin began his Four Seasons journey at Four Seasons Hotel London Park Lane, serving in front office operations before advancing to Night Manager, marking the beginning of an 18-year career with the luxury hospitality brand.
With extensive experience across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Indian Ocean, Martin brings a wealth of operational expertise, strategic leadership, and luxury hospitality experience to his new position. His appointment is expected to further strengthen Kerzner International’s luxury hospitality presence in Rwanda.
