Matthew Mullan has been appointed Resort General Manager of Hilton Muscat, Barr Al Jissah Resorts, where he will lead the integrated operations of DoubleTree by Hilton Muscat Al Waha, Hilton Muscat Al Bandar, and Al Husn Hotel Muscat. Based in Muscat, Oman, the appointment marks a significant new chapter in a distinguished career spanning more than three decades with Hilton.
Mullan brings over 34 years of experience with Hilton, having held senior leadership roles across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Caribbean. Most recently, he served as General Manager of London Hilton on Park Lane from March 2022 to December 2025, overseeing one of Hilton’s most iconic flagship properties in the United Kingdom.
Prior to his tenure in London, he was Cluster General Manager, Hilton Yas Island, leading a high-profile portfolio that included Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island, THE WB™ Abu Dhabi, Curio Collection by Hilton™, and DoubleTree by Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Residences. His leadership was instrumental during a period of rapid destination development and brand expansion.
Earlier in his career, Mullan served as General Manager of Hilton Malta for more than six years, following senior roles as General Manager of Hilton Barbados Resort and Cluster General Manager of Hilton Sharm El Sheikh. He also held multiple cluster leadership roles across the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, including Hilton Glasgow, Hilton Belfast, Hilton Templepatrick, and several UK regional properties.
Mullan began his Hilton journey in hotel-level management roles in 1988, progressing steadily through operational and executive leadership positions, including Opening General Manager roles, before moving into large-scale cluster and resort management.
His appointment underscores Hilton’s focus on experienced, long-tenured leadership to drive operational excellence, guest experience, and long-term value across complex resort destinations.
