Zee Bassila Appointed General Manager at Le Méridien Al Aqah Beach Resort
Zee Bassila has been appointed as General Manager at Le Méridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, part of Marriott International.
With over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Bassila brings extensive expertise in hotel operations, sales, and marketing. In his new role, he will oversee operations at the beachfront resort, known for its scenic location between the Hajar Mountains and the Indian Ocean, and its strong positioning as a leading all-inclusive destination in the region.
Prior to this appointment, he served as Multi-Property Hotel Manager for Sheraton Mall of the Emirates and Aloft Dubai Creek, where he managed operations across two properties with a combined inventory of 785 rooms, multiple dining outlets, spas, and conference facilities.
He also held the role of Hotel Manager at Aloft Dubai Creek, where he was responsible for overall hotel performance, including strategic planning, operational efficiency, and driving sustainable business growth.
Earlier in his career, Bassila served as Regional Director Marketing – EMEA at Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, and spent over a decade with InterContinental Hotels Group in senior sales and marketing roles across multiple international markets.
His appointment reflects continued leadership strength within Marriott International and reinforces the brand’s focus on delivering high-quality guest experiences and operational excellence.
