People on the Move: Sheila Buciuman Appointed General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage
Sheila Buciuman has been appointed General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage, effective January 2026. She brings nearly two decades of experience with Marriott International’s luxury portfolio, with a career rooted in operational excellence and rooms division leadership.
Prior to this appointment, Buciuman served as General Manager of The St. Regis Houston, where she led the hotel through a period of operational stability and brand alignment. Before that, she held the role of Hotel Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, overseeing day-to-day operations at one of the brand’s most iconic resort properties.
Her earlier experience includes serving as Director of Operations at The St. Regis Atlanta and multiple senior roles within The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, including Executive Assistant Manager – Rooms Division and Assistant Rooms Executive in Atlanta. Buciuman began her career in rooms operations and housekeeping, holding positions such as Director of Housekeeping at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, and Front Office leadership roles in Palm Beach and Atlanta.
With a strong foundation in luxury service standards, talent development, and operational leadership, Buciuman’s appointment reflects The Ritz-Carlton’s continued focus on experienced internal leadership to guide its flagship properties.
