IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) has announced a strategic partnership with Grab, Southeast Asia’s leading superapp, to launch Thailand’s first premium ride concierge solution, branded as “The Premium Guest Transport Concierge Service, powered by Grab.” The service will be rolled out across 37 IHG properties nationwide, aiming to elevate the guest experience in response to growing demand from high-quality tourists and business travelers, while supporting Thailand’s tourism and hospitality industry.
The solution transforms traditional hotel transport management —often reliant on multiple vendors—into a seamless, single-stop solution through Grab For Business. This integration will enhance operational efficiency while maintaining premium service standards, delivering a smooth end-to-end mobility experience for guests across Thailand.
Kate Gerits, Director, Operations – Thailand, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said, “Thailand is one of the world’s tourism hubs, with high-value, high-spending leisure travelers and business visitors — a core segment for IHG. These travelers prioritize premium service standards and seamless experiences at every touchpoint, including transportation such as airport transfers and daily commutes.”
“To further enhance service quality and create memorable journeys, we have partnered with Grab, Thailand’s No. 1 ride-hailing app*, renowned for its technology, service quality, and strong safety standards. Through Grab For Business, we are introducing a premium ride concierge service across 37 IHG hotels for the first time. We believe this partnership will enhance both service efficiency and transport reliability, supported by Grab’s quality driver and extensive fleet, while enabling our concierge teams to deliver an even more elevated guest experience.”
Bhuree Ackarapolpanich, Director of Commercial, Grab Thailand, added, “As an industry leader, Grab provides on-demand mobility across a wide range of fleet types and sizes, including premium offerings such as GrabCar Premium, GrabCar Luxe, and our recently launched GrabExecutive. Demand for premium ride services continues to grow, with bookings increasing by 90% over the past year, particularly among international tourists and business travelers, with increased bookings. We have also seen strong growth from corporate clients using Grab For Business.”
“Partnering with IHG, which operates more than 20 brands across over 100 countries worldwide, allows us to extend our mobility expertise into the hospitality sector, one of the key drivers of Thailand’s tourism economy. Together, we are delivering an integrated end-to-end mobility solution that includes advanced bookings, real-time tracking, and enterprise cost management — a new operational model that enhances efficiency while supporting the long-term growth of quality tourism.”
