The Bermuda Tourism Authority has appointed Jan Hutton as its new Chief Executive Officer. She will officially join the organization on July 1, 2026.
Hutton brings extensive global leadership experience in tourism, destination marketing, and visitor economy strategy across Australia, Africa, and international markets. In her new role, she will lead Bermuda’s tourism development strategy, focusing on strengthening the island’s global positioning, enhancing visitor experience, and driving sustainable tourism growth.
Prior to this appointment, she served as Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW), Australia’s national tourism marketplace, where she led digital tourism distribution strategies and strengthened connections between tourism operators and global travel platforms.
She also held the role of Chief Marketing Officer at Destination New South Wales, where she led global destination marketing strategy and contributed to significant growth in the state’s visitor economy. Earlier, she served as Chief Marketing Officer at Gold Coast Tourism Corporation, where she oversaw tourism growth strategies and destination branding initiatives, including major international event leverage strategies.
Her experience also includes senior executive roles with South African Tourism, Deloitte Consulting Africa, The Nielsen Company, and Ogilvy & Mather Interactive, where she led large-scale digital transformation, marketing innovation, and tourism growth strategies across multiple international markets.
Hutton’s appointment reflects the Bermuda Tourism Authority’s commitment to strengthening its global tourism competitiveness through experienced leadership and data-driven destination strategy.
