Oscar Abril Bonthuis has been appointed as Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Hotel Osaka.
With more than two decades of international hospitality experience spanning Europe, the Caribbean, cruise hospitality, and Asia, he brings extensive expertise in luxury food and beverage operations, hotel management, restaurant development, guest experience, and team leadership.
Prior to this appointment, Bonthuis served as Hotel Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Macau and The Grand Suites at Four Seasons, where he provided strategic leadership across hotel operations, overseeing teams across food and beverage, rooms, spa, and security. Before stepping into the hotel manager role, he spent more than four years as Director of Food and Beverage for the two luxury properties, leading a diverse portfolio of restaurants, bars, banqueting operations, and in-room dining services while driving operational excellence and service standards.
His leadership journey within Four Seasons began as Restaurant, Bar & Lounge Manager before progressing to Assistant Director of Food and Beverage and later Director of Food and Beverage. Prior to joining Four Seasons, he held senior food and beverage leadership positions with Sofitel Macau, including Assistant Director of Food and Beverage and Acting Director of Food and Beverage. He also served as Restaurant & Banquet Manager with Hilton Worldwide in Curaçao and gained valuable international guest relations experience with Royal Caribbean Cruises.
Bonthuis began his hospitality career in the Netherlands, working in food and beverage, front office, and operational roles while gaining experience through internships with NH Hotel Group, H10 Hotels, and Radisson Blu. From housekeeping and front office operations to public relations and guest services, his career reflects a steady progression through virtually every aspect of hotel operations. Over the years, he has built a strong reputation for luxury hospitality leadership, culinary excellence, restaurant concept development, and delivering exceptional guest experiences across diverse international markets.
