Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Christian Poda as Vice President of Operations, Europe and North Africa. Bringing more than a decade of leadership experience with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Poda joins Fairmont with a distinguished track record of leading luxury hotels and regional operations across Asia.
Prior to joining Fairmont, Poda spent over ten years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, most recently serving as Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong. In this dual leadership role, he oversaw one of the brand’s flagship luxury properties while contributing to regional operational strategy, service excellence, and business performance across the portfolio.
Earlier, Poda served as General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Beijing, where he successfully led the luxury hotel through a dynamic market while maintaining the brand’s renowned standards of guest experience and operational excellence.
From 2016 to 2019, he was General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta, overseeing all aspects of the hotel’s operations and strengthening its position as one of Indonesia’s leading luxury hospitality destinations.
Throughout his career with Four Seasons, Poda built a strong reputation for operational excellence, strategic leadership, talent development, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. His progression from General Manager in Jakarta and Beijing to Regional Vice President in Hong Kong reflects his ability to lead high-performing teams and manage luxury hospitality operations across diverse international markets.
In his new role as Vice President of Operations, Europe and North Africa, Poda will oversee Fairmont Hotels & Resorts’ operations across the region, supporting hotel teams, driving commercial performance, and ensuring the continued delivery of the brand’s signature luxury hospitality standards.
