Eri Inoue has been appointed Director of Operations, Japan at SONO Hotels & Resorts Asia.
With more than 20 years of international hospitality experience across Japan, Singapore, China, and South Korea, she brings extensive expertise in hotel operations, commercial strategy, sales and marketing, talent development, and multi-property leadership.
Prior to this appointment, Inoue served as Chief Operating Officer – Japan at Travelodge Hotels Asia, where she led operations across multiple properties in Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, and Sapporo. In this role, she was responsible for operational performance, financial results, organizational development, leadership training, and strategic partnerships. Before joining Travelodge Hotels Asia, she served as Cluster lyf Champion for Ascott Japan, overseeing lyf Shibuya Tokyo, lyf Ginza Tokyo, and lyf Tenjin Fukuoka. She also previously led lyf Ginza Tokyo and lyf Tenjin Fukuoka under The Ascott Limited, playing a key role in expanding the brand’s community-focused hospitality concept across Japan.
Earlier in her career, Inoue held several commercial leadership positions, including Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing for ANA Crowne Plaza Osaka and ANA Crowne Plaza Chitose, as well as Assistant Director of Cluster Sales at Mori Trust Hotels & Resorts, where she supported Marriott-branded properties and led international sales initiatives. She also spent more than four years with Frasers Hospitality in Singapore, contributing to pre-opening projects, regional sales, and business development across Asia.
Her hospitality journey began in guest-facing and commercial roles with InterContinental Hotels Group in Shanghai, Okura Garden Hotel Shanghai, Paradise Hotel Busan in South Korea, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide in Singapore. Over the years, she has steadily progressed from guest relations and sales to executive leadership, building extensive expertise in hotel operations, revenue management, commercial strategy, leadership development, and multi-property management across some of Asia’s leading hospitality brands.
