Jason Carter has been appointed as Regional Director, USA & Canada at the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC).
Bringing extensive experience in travel, tourism, partnerships, business development, and stakeholder engagement, Carter has built a diverse career spanning travel services, sales leadership, strategic partnerships, and community impact initiatives.
Prior to this appointment, Carter served as Vice President of Sales at KEY, where he was responsible for driving sales performance, business growth, and strategic initiatives. He also continues to serve as Owner of Carter Family Travel, a boutique travel advisory business specializing in bespoke luxury family travel experiences, and as Founder of the Peggy Carter Foundation, a charitable organization established to continue a legacy of community service and support for families.
Earlier in his career, Carter served as Director of Travel and Partnerships at Worldwide Boat, where he led customer experience initiatives, managed global partnerships, and oversaw travel programs while generating significant partnership and business development opportunities. Before that, he spent more than four years as Director of Travel at KEY.co, overseeing operations, regional teams, business planning, employee engagement initiatives, and revenue performance across multiple markets.
Throughout his career, Carter has developed expertise in travel operations, strategic partnerships, customer experience, sales leadership, and tourism development. His experience working across private-sector travel businesses, luxury travel services, and partnership-driven organizations has equipped him with a strong understanding of the travel ecosystem. In his new role at WTTC, he will help strengthen collaboration between industry stakeholders, government entities, and tourism organizations while supporting advocacy efforts and sustainable growth across the United States and Canada.
