The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland has announced the appointment of Lisa Mercer as its new General Manager, bringing extensive experience in luxury resort operations, food and beverage, catering, and event management to the role.
Lisa joins The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland from The Phoenician Resort, where she most recently served as Resort Manager, a position she held since October 2022. She previously served as the resort’s Director of Food & Beverage, gaining extensive experience in managing key aspects of luxury resort operations and guest experience.
Before joining The Phoenician, Lisa spent more than 12 years with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. She served as Director of F&B / Director of Catering & Event Management at Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass. Earlier, she was Director of Catering & Event Management at The Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa, where she developed her expertise in catering, events, food and beverage, and resort operations.
Throughout her career, Lisa has progressed through senior leadership positions with a strong focus on operational excellence, service delivery, food and beverage, and event management. Her experience across leading luxury resorts has provided her with a broad understanding of guest expectations and the operational demands of high-end hospitality.
In her new role as General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland, Lisa will lead the property’s overall operations and continue to build on her extensive experience in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. Her appointment marks another significant step in a career spanning more than two decades in the hospitality industry.
