Ahmed Refaat has been appointed as General Manager at Hilton Cairo Heliopolis.
With nearly three decades of hospitality leadership experience across Egypt and Saudi Arabia, Refaat has built an accomplished career in hotel operations, commercial strategy, sales, marketing, and general management, working with some of the industry’s leading international hotel brands.
Prior to this appointment, Refaat served as General Manager at Al Manakha Rotana Madinah. Before that, he was Cluster General Manager for Dana Rayhaan by Rotana – Dammam and Centro Waha by Rotana – Riyadh, having previously led Centro Waha by Rotana – Riyadh as General Manager for more than six years. During his tenure with Rotana, he also held cluster leadership responsibilities for Centro Waha Riyadh and Centro Shaheen Jeddah and served as the pre-opening General Manager for Dana Rayhaan by Rotana in Dammam.
Earlier in his career, Refaat was Hotel Manager at Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Hajar Tower Makkah after serving as its Director of Sales & Marketing. He also held senior commercial leadership roles as Executive Assistant Manager at Le Passage Cairo Hotel & Casino, Director of Sales & Marketing at Radisson Blu Hotel Cairo Heliopolis during its pre-opening phase, Director of Sales & Marketing at Mövenpick Hotel Cairo Heliopolis, Deputy Director of Sales & Marketing at Le Méridien Heliopolis, Director of Sales at Mövenpick Heliopolis, and Sales Manager at Swissôtel Cairo Heliopolis.
Throughout his career, Refaat has developed extensive expertise in hotel operations, commercial management, revenue optimization, sales and marketing, pre-opening projects, and team leadership. His progression from sales leadership to overseeing multiple hotel operations across the Middle East reflects a career built on operational excellence, strategic growth, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
