Andy Guan has been appointed General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Hangzhou.

Guan brings extensive experience in luxury hospitality operations across China, with a career spanning leadership roles within Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and other internationally renowned hotel brands. Prior to this appointment, he served as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Qianmen, Beijing, overseeing operations at the luxury property in China’s capital.

He also previously held the role of Hotel Manager at Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing, Beijing, followed by Executive Assistant Manager at the same property. Earlier in his career, he served as Director of Operations at Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund, further strengthening his expertise in luxury hotel management.

Guan spent more than six years with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in Shanghai and Sanya, where he held senior operational roles including Director of Rooms and Front Office Manager at Mandarin Oriental Pudong, Shanghai, and Mandarin Oriental Sanya. He began his hospitality career with InterContinental Hotels Group, including pre-opening experience as Front Office Manager at InterContinental Wuxi and earlier leadership responsibilities at Crowne Plaza Chengdu City Center.

His appointment reflects Mandarin Oriental’s continued focus on experienced leadership to support the growth and positioning of its luxury portfolio in China.
