Carlos Tarrero has been appointed as General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo and Area General Manager, Luxury Japan for Marriott International.
Tarrero brings extensive luxury hospitality experience across Asia and Europe. Prior to this appointment, he served as General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto, where he led one of Japan’s premier luxury hospitality properties.
He also previously held the role of General Manager at The St. Regis Osaka and The Andaman, a Luxury Collection Resort, Langkawi. His earlier experience includes several leadership positions with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in Thailand, including General Manager roles at The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui and The Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Krabi.
Tarrero began his career in hotel operations and rooms division management, holding positions with The Ritz London, Gran Hotel Domine Bilbao, Le Parker Meridien, and Le Meridien Victoria & Albert, building a strong foundation in luxury hospitality and guest experience.
His appointment reflects Marriott International’s commitment to experienced leadership to further strengthen its luxury portfolio and guest offerings across Japan.
